this sling is saving us. thatch has trouble falling asleep, but you put him in this and he goes right to sleep. and thatch loves the painting in this pic. he stares at it all the time and now he has started smiling at it!

mother's day

i celebrated my first mother's day with some friends. thatch slept and ate almost the whole time. (with just a little bit of fussines!!)

I'm understanding more and more of the words thatch is saying...and realizing he can say a lot than I've given him credit! I just need to speak his language!

Thatch loves playing in mom's office. it's a good thing, because we are partners in crime!

yesterday in line at the post office, the song "you are the best thing" came on the radio...and thatch started bobbing and clapping...that's my boy!

he's rapidly learning his toes, hands, ears...and today...when we say "where's your head?" he proudly pats his head and smiles. each day brings discovery!

he throws with his left hand, eats with his left...i think we have a lefty!

"he sure is a busy boy" says pappy over and over.

thatch is putting his block IN the box and taking it out...over and over. yes! maybe he will start doing that will all his toys!

i love the way thatch looks at travis.

mamama and dadada have been words he says a lot. sometimes he says mom to me, sometimes not. and this morning, he said dad straight to travis, several times.

those top teeth are so close to coming in, but they just will not come in

trying grilled cheese on ezekiel bread...he's diggin' it

i can't even count how many times thatch wants to play in the bottom freezer

I think he is the happiest boy i know

thatch is loving playing catch...he actually "throws" the ball...and then laughs really hard

has decided to start throwing food while he is in his highchair...nice.

laughed really hard from the gut tonight.
